Brooklyn has become synonymous with café culture.

Walk in any 2-block direction here in Williamsburg and you’ll have no trouble finding a good cold brew or foaming cappuccino.

But what draws the crowd isn't always just the coffee.

At the corner of our salon, you'll find the second installment of our lifestyle brand KRASI, Serita Coffee. Commune owner Aki Serita Takashio and interior designer Yoshiaki Takao partnered together to take the opportunity to create a space of comfort and creativity, providing an all-in-one source for life's necessitates - hair cuts at Commune, home goods from the gift shop and morning coffee from Serita.

Previously an artist studio, the railroad-style space gave Yoshiaki inspiration to evoke Brooklyn's industrial past, using a palette of espresso browns and silver metal finishes along with antiqued detailing for a nostalgic, lived-in feel.

Serita Coffee offers original, specially crafted blends from 95RPM Coffee Roasters, a Brooklyn-based independent roaster known for their pour-over method. The staff of Serita Coffee are educated by 95RPM to ensure that every brew carefully draws out the bean's delicate bitterness and wafting aromatics.

After a successful pre-open in July 2015 ,the coffee shop celebrates a year of becoming a staple part of the community and local daily routine. As the neighborhood evolves, Serita is more than a place for a quick coffee. We invite you to stop by - whether you're on your way to your appointment or simply in the neighborhood. They'll always be a freshly brewed cup and warm conversation waiting for you.
